Introduction and Case History of a HPHT High-Performance Water-based Fluid in Tarim Basin, China
This presentation will cover the use of a high-performance water-based (HPWB) drilling fluid, densities ranging from 15.0 to 19.6 lbm/gal (1.8 to 2.35 kg/m3), capable of encountering hydrateable and sloughing shales, high downhole pressures and temperatures (HPHT), salt, gypsum, and torque.聽 Bottomhole temperatures are historically as high as 400掳F (205掳C) with the depth of the well at 22,765 ft (6939m).
